‘Stitch’s Great Escape’ Goes Seasonal…Is This The End?

This is usually not a great sign.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the oft-maligned Stitch’s Great Escape at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom will scale back it’s operation from “daily” to “seasonal” starting on October 2nd.

Rumors have been swirling that Stitch’s Great Escape, which replaced the wildly popular, and intense ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter (see video below) in 2004, will soon close to make way for another property that Disney is trying to push…Wreck-It-Ralph. This latest news makes that move seem like it’s nearing reality.

Ride it while you can, the remaining announced operational dates after October 1st are November 19-26 and December 17-January 2nd. Who know’s if it will open again in 2017.
